Galloway Forest Holiday Park is the only campsite in Galloway Forest Park, the UK’s first Dark Sky Park. Nestled in over three hundred square miles of forest, hills, and wildlife-rich landscapes, our peaceful site is the perfect base for exploring the great outdoors.
Whether you are walking the Southern Upland Way, biking the 7 Stanes trails, spotting wildlife like red squirrels and golden eagles, or hiking the Merrick (Southern Scotland’s highest peak), adventure is on our doorstep.
Galloway Forest Holiday Park is located just off the A714 (Newton Stewart to Girvan) and midway between Bargrennan and Glentrool. We are open all year round for our holiday homeowners, rentals and tourers.
We have a selection of brand new and pre-owned static caravans, park homes and lodges for sale, fully equipped self-catering caravans for hire and hard-standing pitches with electric hook-up for tourers. We also have several tent pitches, some with electric hook-up available.
We are tucked away in Galloway Forest Park but easy to reach, just over two hours from the M6/M74 at the Scotland – England border.

Enter Bargrennan village
Continue past the pub for about half a mile.
You will see our sign on the left, just before the Southern Upland Way entrance.
At the House o’ Hill pub, turn right from Newton Stewart or left from Girvan.
